Ditching my TWild Chip for a DP..........

Customer service service service.... I posted a question on how to get a hold of Tony and no one knows were he is or what his # is. Some one posted some add on a web page but is this his new business or company it didn't say anything as to how to contact him. I wanted to change some of my programs on my 4 pos chip. Anyway my buddy is running a DP 4 pos on his 2002 and loves it and customer service is great. So if anyone is running a DP in there OBS any feed back would be great. Also do you think anyone would be interested in the Twildman chip after I take it out? If so I'll post it in the for sale area.
Thanks Marc

wasn't too hard to find a phone. About 30 seconds actually

If you tried to get a hold of him he may be out of town. I know both TW and DP have events and other things they leave the office to take care of.

Sooo, you're ditching TW because the members didn't give you his contact info fast enough??

pretty easy to go to his site (posted ^^^^) and find his number AND email address AND physical address and contact him... or PM him or Ben (soggy)... plenty of ways I'd think..

but - how much you gonna sell it for?

Many ways to get ahold of Tony...He is a busy guy granted but I am always able to get him one way or another...Like said before you can either get this contact off his website or PM Ben spelled "soaggydog" and he should be able to get a hold of him

I run a TW chip in my '96 F-350 'toy', and a DP-Tuner chip in my '97 daily driver, and I love them both, you can't go wrong with with either one.
You have options, call and talk to both of them and buy from who you're most comfortable with.

It looks like he already has a Tony chip, so his reburns would not cost him anything.

Supercab,

You must have money to burn, if you are willing to purchase new tuning from another tuner simply because people did not post Tony's contact information quickly enough for you. So, that's great that you can afford that. I'm sure there would be quite a few interested in your chip if you are putting it up for sale.

And how can you say that Tony's customer service is bad when it does not sound like you even tried to call him?? You did not even give Tony a chance to answer his phone or return your message. You just tried to find his phone number, which by the way a search on ANY of the diesel websites would have given you that phone number immediately.

Good thing for you there are many tuners out there. Google them all and see who you can find the easiest and go with them. It sounds like that is the most important thing to you anyway.

WoW talk about starting a flame fest...

I can't believe the degree of unrest this post is causing.

Thanks to all the people who have PMed me great responces and great info.
For everyone else I didn't want to write a short story. Or thought I had to but just for clarification.
2 years ago I asked some guys on this site that a buddy of mine and I were both looking into a programmer or chip. We came up with TW for OBS and DP for 99 and up. So at about 4:00pm on a monday night at my house after work we both called from my kitchen. After 10 mins on the phone with Jode at DP Brett had his chip on Thursday of that week. I called at 4:20pm. It was a number that just like now I had to ask around for to get for Tony and left a message. After waiting 2 days with no call back I called 2 times on Thursday and after getting the call from my buddy Brett that his chip was here. I left 2 more messages. I posted something on here about the no call back and everyone said Tony's busy, he's out of town, he's working, and he was possibly moving. After someone from here contacted him he called me on Saturday. I talked to him and he was VERY NICE and fairly helpful but not very specific we agreed on a 4 pos chip - stock, daily, tow haul and extreme. The money transaction went right through and the waiting started. After a week I called and left a message. No responce. After 2 weeks I posted a very basic how long should I wait post everyone said it will come he's busy and just keep calling. Well I didn't want to bug Tony so I waited. 3 weeks now I'm nervious. Call again Tony calls back and says my supplier was back ordered on the chips and mine was on the list as soon as they come in. Middle of the 4th week the chip shows up but has no instructions just a chip in bubble wrap and only has position 2 daily driver and shuts the truck off in any other position. So I call Tony he says darn a bunch of his chips have been doing this because his programmer was acting up send it back I'll fix it. Week 5 send the chip back 5 day turn around. I get the chip back. But now it has high idle on all 4 settings and the knob is missing for the selector switch. I never asked for a higher idle setting it made the truck annoying to drive. So I Call Tony again sorry he says I do that because alot of guys like it. No problem send it back. Week 6 mail back Tony says put a note in with the chip telling me what you want. Heres what I wrote Tony sorry for all the trouble please burn stock, daily, tow, and extreme and all with a stock idle setting thanks. Now remember Bretts DP has been in and running without a problem for 5 weeks now. I get the chip back and guess what pos 1 "stock" still has high idle and pos 3 "tow" still has high idle. So I give up and only run the truck on pos 2 daily for 2 years now. I call Tony's # from back then and it no longer in service I ask on here and someone was nice enough to post a link to a web site but it doen't say anything about Tony Wildman or his chips I figure it's another chip site or a mistake so I wait and I start to get flash backs of the calling waiting and hunting for Tony and waiting and still not getting anywhere and waiting.

The other day I called DP just for arguement sake and got the number from this sites flashing advertisement and WOW Jody picked the phone I spoke to him briefly asked a few questions and left it at that. A few days went by I called back and go figure Jody answers again and this time I tell him my story and much to my surprise he has answers as to why things are happening and after thinking about it I figure why not try a sponcer's product that gets great write ups and I've seen and driven a truck with his chip thats run fine and is easily available to speak with. Well the chip was here in 3 days. I also figured that someone on this site would buy my Wildman chip to help offset the cost of the new chip because "I don't have all the money in the world" and I really don't want to buy something off of a google search I like this site and I do respect the opinions on here if I didn't I would have never bought a TWildman in the first place. A great example of this is with Dale at Tymar the only reason I called him was because of the reputation he has on here and let me say for the record that Dale Isly is a top notch guy his products are great and his knowledge is unbelievable.

I do not have a problem with Tony Wildman the only problem I have is that I don't have alot of time to be screwing around pulling pcm's e brake assemblies and mailing things back and forth or hunting for #'s and leaving messages that's all.
Yes the TW chip will be for sale.

Sorry for the people who are so bent out of joint but it's just time for me to try something else.
Thanks Marc

I have called TW and talked with him. I am convinced after reading posts here that his burns are the best, but I will likely go with DP as well because I was able to get ahold of Jody. Tony never did answer my emails, and it took me about three weeks to get ahold of him. I called and left messages and finally called him every day for a few days before he answered.

I do see what he is talking about...

The website they posted was Tony's. His company name is Total Diesel Performance.
