Does anyone elses chip not let the truck start up occasionally?

I have a TS chip with no valet mode and about once a month the truck will not start. Luckly everytime it's happened it has been at my house. I always know when it's going to do it becuase the glow plugs don't cycle and just get a CEL. Once it happens I just take the parking brake assembley off and take the chip out clean it and put it back on and it starts fine. I drive 99% of the time in stock but I seem to notice the chip will act up if I do put it in a higher setting and shut it down later in the same setting.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or I'm just crazy. It's probably a lose connection between the board and chip that works it way out. But I drive only on roads so I can't see if getting bumped off. And about once a month it does this, it's getting more predictiable then my wife

I just had a similar thing happen with my Wildman chip. Took it out four or five times cleaned the PCM each time an it never cured it. I installed my old banks chip and it worked fine. Called up Tony and he said send it back to him and he would get me a new one.

Re: Does anyone elses chip not let the truck start up occasionally?

I had this problem with my TS chip. I've switched back to my old bullydog hardware and no more problem.

I've noticed and heard that battery voltage plays a big role in the occurance. If I put new batteries in it its fine.

Mine also had a problem in the switch which would cause the truck to shut off randomly. needing to rest/reseat the chip. finally my luck ran out and in the rain/snow I forgot to turn the key off durinig a reset. Now I have a new chip and new PCM.
