Does anyone know of a good place to find a used 7.3 engine (not for me)
My buddy Bryan had had constant trouble with his truck since it was bought. He had a valve cover harness go bad although it looked fine which put the truck out of service for a few monthes right after he bought it. He then got busy and didn't have time to rebuild the oil cooler on his high mileage powerstroke although I said it was important to do so. It ended up going and took something else out when it got hot. He rebuilt the oil cooler and pressure tested it, put it back on, but it still had a slow coolant leak and the cooling system was being pressurized. We changed the headgaskets and injector cups with no luck. The engine has 2 dusted cylnders anyway (found out when changing heads) so now we both think it would be best to put a good used engine in.
Has anyone seen a particular place with good prices? Thanks, phillip
