Does Pullin' pay

Just wondering if one was to get into the super street class, if any money can be made. by no means is that the point of pulling but it could help pay for the carnage

Re: Does Pullin' pay

I asked a feller who has one of them modified trucks about that. He said in these parts, no. It is for fun and you might get entry fee back but no big purse like some of the other vehicle sports.

I say bummer, a big purse would bring more big trucks farther and give some a run for their money.

Re: Does Pullin' pay

if you are good and lucky you will cover your entry fee, and travel expenses. And maybe over a long term of wins you may cover some carnage.

But with the amount of money it takes to build a competitive truck it would be very hard to get ahead

and this is in the region where you can hook 4 nights a week in the heat of the summer

Re: Does Pullin' pay

Flat out NO the only thing that pays is sponsership and if you get famous enough merchandise. Monster trucks don't get paid anough to make any money even though they are on TV but they sell a bunch of shirts and hats and expensive crap and sponsors pay for advertising. I'm freinds with a guy that runs a super stock tractor and he never gets ahead even when he wins its all for the fun and braggin rights

Re: Does Pullin' pay

If you are looking for any financial gain at all, you will want to operate the budget as a business. That way you can at least write off the fees, travel, truck, and modifications as expenses, which will never be covered by the winnings. Then you will reduce your taxable income and recoup a bit more from the money you give the government every year.

It still won't "pay", but you would take less of a hit.
