Downpipe install?

How hard is it (really) to change the factory downpipe, specifically, on a 97 F350? I'd be exchanging it with a 3" to 4" or 3" to 3.5" downpipe. I've heard it's extremely difficult unless you loosen the motor mounts and do stuff like that. I don't think I'd be comfortable doing that myself.

Re: Downpipe install?

i did mine on my 95 f250 and it was honestly the biggest pain. but it was my first one and i was stupid because i started it at 9pm and had to go to work the next morning. i just helped my cousin do ne on his 96 and it went pretty smoothly. just hacked the old dp out with a sawsall and a new blade. cut the seam on the firewall like you have to and then took a 4x4 block and a floor jack and pushed the wood um into the general area and bent the crap out of it to make room. it worked great and the dp dosent rattle like it does on my truck and trust me it is really annoying if it does, il be taking mine back off and doing the same to it.
