I've got two chips - a 2 position chip with Bill's programs (tow and hot), and a 6 position chip with programs I can't use any longer. The 2 position chip is in the truck, the 6 position chip was bought for a Quigley PSD van I had, but I kept the chip when I sold it.
I'd like to have the 6 position chip reprogrammed for the truck so I can have a few more options. But...I really like the 2 programs on my current 2 position chip, and don't want to lose them.
Can the chip vendors read the programs from the 2 position chip, and burn them to the 6? Or can they only write programs they have on file somewhere?

Call bean. He'll get you all setup. A big thing ive noticed is the newer programs are safer to use than the older ones b/c they don't advance the timing as much, and they work more off of the fuel tables.

Get ahold of Wildman, he has Bill's old programmign , plus his own now, all I can say is some are really hot. Unless you burnt teh chip off your unit you can not read it on another unit. I have a burner now, but I can not pull programming off another chip only ones I have burnt with mine.

You CAN pull programs off of chips, save them and burn them on a different chip. Only a select few can do it though Call Jody DP Tuner, he will set you up. Then sell me the 2 position.

Actually no he can't unless he burnt it, but Jody can somehow. I bough thte burner and programmign from Tony so us Canadians don't have to cross border shop so much, it is really expensive to ship a chip back and forth jsut to have it reburnt, now Tony just e-mails me programs and I burn them here. Using his software I can pull programs from his or my chips only.
