E-350 exhaust brake and converter lockup

went camping this weekend with my 1995 29 ft class c motorhome with a powerstoke in it, and while going down a steep grade pulling a car trailer with nothing but motorcycles on it, my front brakes got extremely hot and started to fade a little bit. I stopped and let them cool and continued my trip but it really concerens me because i didn't have a very big load on the trailer and the brakes on the trailer seemed to be working fine. I adjusted the trailer brakes a little higher and took it easy and was fine but was wondering about these powerbrakes or exhaust brakes and putting a lock-up converter conversion in it.What are your guys experience with either of these and are the safe to the motor and tranny? Would like better hold back power and save the brakes.

Thanks

Pat

yes I do recomend havign one, in fact would demand one on a rig like that, stock brakes are less than ideal, you'll have to purchase an entire unit for yours, BD or Pacbrake.

Re: E-350 exhaust brake and converter lockup

I can highly recommend getting one along with a chip from TW.. web page both will make towing more enjoyable. You will also need-want a Tymar exhaust and intake along with guages.
