E40D with under 20,000mi what do ya think - Diesel Forum

found a tranny out of a shuttle bus E-350 rebuilt under 20k ago with new torque converter 400 bucks is that a good or should i rebuild mine my self 400 is about all the funds i have. so if i rebuild mine i wont beable to get a new TC and at 350k i dont know when the last tranny overhual was.

Sounds like a good deal, but I'm not sure if I would buy anything from a shuttle bus, most of them have a very hard life. Good luck

So you would have to tear apart both transmissions to make the rebuilt one 4/4? That is alot of work, good thing is while you are in there you can replace parts that were overlooked the first time. I would recomend a Transgo Tugger 2 shift kit.
