Early 99 turbo / intake spyder ?

Hey guys, I bought what I believe is a early 99 spyder, the member I bought it from upgraded and wanted to get rid of all of the parts together and it was cheap as long as I can use the spyder. My question is the spyder has reducer hoses going to the intakes that looks like it will work but the flange that clamps to the turbo looks big. I just have been to busy at work and its been dark when I get home (darn boat shows) to take a look under the hood. The turbo has a wastegate and the collector to turbo connection is round and uses a clamp. Is this how they did it in early 99 or did they use our style collector / baby' but ? Thanks

Frank

Re: Early 99 turbo / intake spyder ?

yes the early 99's used the round exhuast connestion like the lates but the intake side turbo connection is the same size as our turbo's, I would use the early 99 intake spyder and sell the rest.

Re: Early 99 turbo / intake spyder ?

I hope you got the right v band clamp for the turbo connection the regular obs one is too small ford still sells the early 99 one I had a part # pm if you need it I will find it.It was a big ordeal to get the damn v band clamp took a few days to get it.Did I mention I am impatiant. I like it when you have to break in a new parts guy at the stealership, especially when they ask what your working on.They remember quick and ask what part of a sd are you mating to it(OBS Truck) now? Re: Early 99 turbo / intake spyder ?

It came with everything, including that clamp. Intakes, turbo, pedistal, spyder, babies but, up pipes, intake hose and all for $150.00 and that included shipping from Utah. I will have to mesure the spyder intakes in the morning. I wonder if Bean could use this for a core and I could get a D66 and have my stocker for a spare. Thanks Guys

Re: Early 99 turbo / intake spyder ?

teh late one uses a larger openign out of the turbo itself, if you were to use teh late stuff pedistal and all then you could get a Gerett BB turbo on it. I would be happy to have all that to add an IC and a BB turbo
