EBPV?

Im fairly new to diesels what bennifits does it have to gut you you ebpv? i dont even know what it stands for so any help would be appreciated...

Exaust Back Pressure Valve. it is a butterfly behind the turbo. It helps warm up the truck in cold weather. it also causes restriction in the exaust. not sure how much but mines out.

Just gutted mine yesterday. I got a noticeable amount of quicker pedal response afterwards. I can chirp my 35" tires from a stop which I couldn't do before gutting the ebpv.
