FLex a lite told me just to measure to see if it would physically fit and if it did they said it would work fine. I guess i'd have to figure out how to mount it though. FYI, Horton makes an electromagnet fan clutch that is either engaged or it free-wheels. I'm not sure however what all is involved with installing it(whether you have to buy another fan).

According to my radiator size applications, we do not have a fan that would fit this truck properly. Both size and cfm is not large enough to support what the truck needs for cooling. Keep checking in with us to see when we come up with something for the Fords. Demand is what drives product devolopment.

A electric fan set-up from a Tauris or if any of the Crown Vic's had electric fans will work well.
I used a set from a Chevy Impala. Bolted in easily and I have them on a switch.

If you replace the engine driven fan with an electric fan expect to run hotter. There are no electric fans that move as much air as the stock fan.

from what Ive heard a fan from a 98 winstar is a basic drop in.

I don't run a fan at all. Tow my 94 Lightning or one of my boats and never had a prob with high temps at all. South Texas 100 + temps with high humidity. The hot part of summer 220 at 70 mph with a Optix 100-250 temp gauge.

K well that don't fit. My next question is. Will superduty fan fit our trucks I'm intrigued t try as it would probably help my high temp problem while towing

im wondering if one were to put in an electric fan and replace the the mechanical water pump pulley with an electric driven water pump how this would affect the performance of the truck?

Best fan I found pulls 6,000 plus cfm. just towed a vehicle 365 miles through wyoming. hit the continental divide with some long steep grades and it got real hot real quick, i'm putting the stocker back on when i get home next year and putting the electric fan on my 87 cobra. stock fan pushes no less than 15,000 cfm. I would stay stock if you tow unless you plan on putting an attic fan in there or find a fan that pulls way more than 6000 cfm.

E-fans don't provide enough cooling for towing. I have a 6.0 SD electromagnetic in my shop and it looks to be too deep to fit also the mounting nut appears to be too long.
As noted there is a Horton electric clutch that will work and iirc some one has paired that to a 6.0 SD fan (11,000 CFM) and would work well.
