I was curious as to what kind of relays everyone is using with thier superduty fuel systems. I can not seem to keep a relay in my truck. They last a couple months and then they stick on. They get corroded inside and freeze up. what are you guys using, I have been using the standard 30 amp relays, like used in most automotive applications
Thanks Travis

Same one for over a year, almost a year and a half.

plain ol' generic relay, haven't had a problem in over a year. of course now I'm going to be stuck tomorrow morning (although technically I have a spare because of having dual pumps )
any chance your wiring on either side of the relay is a little rough? not getting a good ground or something?
open teh underhood fuse box teh last place in it has no relay , jsut remove teh fuse box and wire thsi spot up.

Hay Travis, I'm using the standard relays on my twin pump setup 1 relay for each pump. I do notice every now and again one of the relays will stick on and keep the pump/pumps running after I've shut down the truck. I just pop the hood and give it a tap and it stops. It's only done it 2-3 times and hasn’t done it in over a month now.

I have them in parallel, right now I am only running one pump (the other is unplugged at the relay and capped at the pump outlet) and don't have a problem holding 50psi. I wanted to do it all at once rather than try to add a second pump in a year or two when I really need it. Plus I found two cheap ones on ebay when I was gathering parts.
I have a one-way valve that I am going to install in the second pump, then I can un-cap it and plumb it into the "T" that I have after the two pumps. Then I'll put a switch on my dash to turn on the second pump when I need a little extra juice. Might just get to it this weekend. But probably won't NEED the second pump until I go to Stage II's or bigger.
No, I have a 5/8" pick up going into a filter housing then splitting into 2ea 1/2" line then into 2 ele pumps then into another filter then 2 lines going up to the motor, 1 for each head.
I have some pic's in my sig.
