WOW, what a PITA to get out by yourself. I removed the entire front of the truck to make it easier, would have hated to have to lift it over the front of the truck. Now I am just waiting for my rebuilt drop in to arrive so I can transfer my babies over. I will also gut the EBPV, put on the oil rail crossover and put on the 1.0 housing while I am at it. Since I had to put on a new wiring harnes a couple of months ago, I kept the old one and that will be going back with the core so I will have a spare now.

That part wasn't too hard since I had taken a lot of it off before when putting my intercooler in. There were a few bolts that were difficult and at least one that broke and will need to be replaced. My main problem was that my driveway is gravel and I had put 3 sheets of plywood down up against the apron of the garage. That lets me use my creeper under the truck. The biggest PITA was after the engine was frea and clear was to then try to pull it up the slight downhill condition of my driveway and up into the garage. Ended up putting a lag bolt in my work bench and with combo of tow strap and come along, was able to pull out far enough to get the engine stand on it. Then lowering the engine to let half the weight sit on the stand and the other half on the hoist, my step-daughters boyfriend was able to pull the hoist while I pushe the engine into the garage.
