Fluidampr?

Does anyone know if they got the Fluidampr for our OBS trucks working yet?

The last I had read was that there was interference with the fan and there was not enough room to move the fan forward enough to clear or something to that affect?

I thought I remember seeing a post from someone on here that works for or owns the company stating that they will be coming out with a new one that will work on the OBS trucks?

Anyone have info on this? I guess I could just call them.

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that they do have a part number for the OBS now. I'm not sure what it is though. Call them or one of your favorite parts suppliers and you can probably find out.

The p/n for the 1994-1997 7.3L engines is 720221. If anyone has any other questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Dan

Is that the same one that's used for a Super Duty or has it been redesigned for a 94-97?

What about the clearance issue between the water pump pulley and the fluidampr?

It is actually the same damper as the Super Duty. However we include a spacer that threads on to the end of the water pump shaft to move the fan away from the engine by about an inch. The spacer is the reason why the 94-97 damper is more expensive than the 99-03 damper.

Please let me know if there are any other questions.
Thanks,
Dan

I think he means that someone who installed said the OBS water pump pulley was larger diameter then the SD one is and you cannot put the belt on once the dampener was installed?

The spacer just moves the fan itself closer to the radiator to clear the dampener itself? or something else?

Anypower advantage? I too am very interested in this product, but haven't really gotten any feedback. I'm sure it makes the truck run better, but would like to know if spending $400+ bucks is worth it at this point.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. And I still didn't get an answer.

It fits with your stock water pump pulley, but it's tight. Just need to pinch the belt between the two pulleys while you turn the pulleys(it's that tight!).

I recently replaced my water pump and used the SD pulley this time. Now my water pump turns a bit faster!

Did the Fluidampr help? I think so!

I like mine. seems like the engine idles and runs alot smoother. no hard data to back that up but it used to vibrate when idling and now it's smooth as silk. The belt is an issue but I got a sd pulley just haven;t installed it yet.

Well I just placed an order for my Fluidampr. I have alway had a bit of a rough idle and am hoping it will help with that.

GSXRTURBOQUAD,

Do have the part # for that SD pulley? Not sure I am going to use it but would be nice to have the P/N in case I decide to.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't. I robbed mine from a windowed PMR engine.
