my dad has a handful of fobs that he kept when he had a 96 PSD and I would like to use them but i am pretty sure i dont have a keyless entry module. if i go to ford can i get a module and plug it in? or is it more work than that? or wo0uld it be in my best interest to go aftermarket?
i tried searching before posting on this site and google but all i got were mostly aftermarket systems
What is there to look for if I don't have the module but I want to find out if I have the harness?
What aftermarket systems work good, I really don't need remote start, I just would like to have keyless. And I don't really like the thought of hacking up my truck's wiring.

There was a picture somewhere on this forum or another that showed the spot to look for the module or the wiring. From what I remember ... it's under the dash. If you look up directly in front of and above the gas pedal and a little to the passenger side. Think it's right above the hump corner.
I have a picture of the unit in my Int. Pics Gallery. you don't even need to remove the panel to see the module. If you just look up above the accelerator pedal it is right there in the open, if you have it.
