I hooked up a fuel gauge last night to the fuel regulator and at idle I'm at 60 Psi, on the hwy at 65-70 mph I'm at 70 Psi but as soon as I go to WOT it drops to 15-20 Psi . Sooo I think my old mechanical fuel pump just can't keep up.
My question is has anybody just removed the stock fuel pump and installed an Electric pump on the frame and left everything else stock? Just thinking out loud .

Hmmm, I think if I was going that far I'd just do the whole fuel system , I was just trying to think of something I could do before Wednesday

If it is the original pump maybe a new one might help until you move up to a full out system. I bet that is going to make a difference when you get all the fuel you need.

you'll blow the lid off it, you can watch it flex with the 3-6 low pressure already on it. Go work on the tree, then do the entire fuel system correctly when you have more time. Then go work on the tree......
I thought about that Tom, but I rather not waste the money on a pump then turn around and remove it, the cheapest pump around here is 135 bucks. I guess I'll have to wait to do the whole fule system.
Thanks for the offer Zack but I think I'm going to dump the Stock setup, How's Martinsburg?? That's where I grew up (at least in age that is ).

Thanks Jon, That Trans brake sounds cool, how would that work on the E40d/4R100? By the way, the tranny shifted flawlessly (after I took off the hobbs switch ). I noticed that the program I got from Tony I didn't have that 3rd-4th gear flair at WOT .

We are working on that guys . My 15 year old daughter took the Vids with a 3-power zoom . I guess if I quit spending money on the truck I could afford a nicer camera, lol .
