My truck is a 97, and I have been looking at adding the Factory Tech Valve Body to it, and was wondering which ones people are using. It seems there are a couple different ones (4) Only two of them work for our trucks, but the break in years is wierd. One is up to 96, and the other is 97-03.
Which one should I get, and if anyone has used both, why the switch and what were the benefits.
Thanks all,
Lucas

Luke, Call Bob Riley, He is THE leading authority on what will be the best FTVB for you 97 truck. Tell him Jim in Tennessee told you to call...He won't charge you to much extra!!
I just got mine yesterday but have not put it in yet...I will do it sunday sometime. But your question.....I have a 97 and they sent me a C2. Bob will tell you what you need and he is very good to deal with, they told me it was back ordered and they would have more on monday and I would have it tuesday and it was here! Can't wait to get it in and see the differance.

Does anyone have any experience with either model and what are the benefits?
I had a shift kit in my old mustang (i built the tranny) and that thing was soo cool. It would chirp the tires all the time!! Can I do that with the 35's I have?

Bob is jsut a re-selling for Gregg Evans, the man who is actually Factory Tech. I would PM him on the differences before you do anything else, I tested the first one last year that was strictly for diesels, it worked very well in a stock tranny, and is easy to do without doing it again, it may shift a bit hard , but that is good for the tranny. In modified trannys I would install a Transgo kit, but that may have to be played with 3-4 x before you get it right.

FTVB is in place! Let me tell you it shifts very FIRM! Took about 30 minutes and off for the test ride. I am very pleased with it, and it shifts fast too. Great product from Gregg Evans.
