fuel additive

Was wondering what types of fuel additive every one is using? Is there any that help combat the high fuel prices.also what about bio fuel any one making their own?

I use Power Service in the white bottle with Cetane boost. 400:1 ratio , very cheap and simple to use for me . I would love to use Staynadyne Performance but they rape me on the shipping rates and here in T.O they want like 5-6 bucks at the Diesel places. The Power Service ends up costing like a buck -fifty per Tank so I use it.

I use the powerservice in the Gray bottle. Should i use the white bottle, what is the difference? I used to use Amsoil but even with my dealer discount it got pricey.

I have been mixing half Grey Power Service and half Walmart Super Tech 2-stroke oil and add 1 ounce/gallon. I am going to start using straight 2-stroke oil as Power service is getting more expensive. It really quitens down the motor and runs fine.

I use Stanadyne blue cetane and low ash 2 cycle oil. Last rear tank used just the 2 stroke oil and got 22 mpg mixed hiway (mostly) under (< 2000 RPM) and city driving...will be comparing the Stanadyne and 2 stroke this tank to see if there is any difference. Someone claimed it was counter productive to use the Stanadyne AND 2 stroke oil and that is why I just tried the above.

No...and unless Marvel Mystery Oil is ash free I wouldn't run it as an additive with your Power Service. The reason people are using Marine 2 cycle oil is because it is ash free. Just my two cents.

yea heard mention of the ASH issue too. Where does the ash come into play at?? Is it on the injectors, in the cylinders, or what??

I would say if the 2 cycle oil has ash then you would start seeing ash deposits on the injector tips and cylinder walls. This just seems logical to me.
