Fuel filler problem

Just bought a '97 F250 PSD for conversion to a service truck. Got a fiberglass service body and installed it, but the filler tubes for both tanks are horizontal. Had to twist the filler necks (metal part of filler apparatus) to get tubes pointed in right direction, so now the air bleed hole (I assume thats what it is) is near the bottom of the filler neck. Needless to say, when I try to fill it up, its a sloooowww process.I thought about somehow removing the inner hose/outer hose, welding shut the blled hole, and drilling a new one at the 12 Oclock position on the filler neck, but don't know it that will do it.

I've read thru many postings, but can't get a good enough feel for how the filler system works. Lot's of talk about modifying the rollover valve, etc, but I want to know what I'm getting into before I tear into it. Anyone know a where I can find a good diagram, before I have to tear it apart to figure it out? Would one of those aftermartket TFI fast fillers be the easiest option?

Thanks!

there's lots of posts about the "vent mod" and how they are done, because you can do it by different methods such as some use a new rollover valve and some did not.

here's one write up with pics,

I

If you had to rotate the filler neck, I'm not sure what that would do to the tfi necks, I belive Tymar also has a kit,

if going the diy method, the only thing you might do different is the position you drill the hole for the hose barb.
