anyone know where I can find a pressure snubber for our fuel systems. I had a mechanical gauge right on the fuel regulator and the pressure spikes killed it in a few months. now I want an in cab one and I need to find a snubber so I dont kill the Isspro incab one.

I don't know what I am doing, I just know I don't have time to do it.
1. Get an electric fuel pump
2. Coil up a bunch of extra hose under the hood to damp it out (maybe an extra 10-15'. Depends on what kind of hose you are using as to how expensive this option is.
3. You can get something like a ball/gate valve and put that in the hose line and close it almost all of the way. Or any other kind of restrictor would work too.
To put it in the cab, you'll want an isolator so you don't end up with a 70 lb spray of fuel in the cab if you sprng a leak. I believe autometer has one.

Try Northern Tool, or maybe even Tractor Supply. Surplus Center may have them as well.
Worst case, look in the yellow pages for hydraulic folks, such as Air and Hydraulics, or Southern Fluidpower, any shop that sells hydraulic equipment should have one. I believe Parker makes one that has an isolating valve combined with a snubber. Shouldn't cost too much.

When I still had the stock fuel system I purchased a snubber from McMaster-Carr, they are an industrial supply house kinda like Grainger. If I remember correctly they are in Chicago.

Hey I am just putting in my .02 but I dont think you want to run a mechanical fuel pressure gauge in your cab as if it ever breaks that woudl be BAD. ALso it is illegal as all mechanical gauges have warning as to not put them in cab. Your best option I think is to get an electrical one that way changes wont take it out anyway and safer, just a little spendier.

I did not totaly read your first post, sorry. Like others are saying you do not want to put mech. gauges in cab. When I used the the snubber and mech. gauge it was underhood. I now have an electric gauge in the cab with a sender under the hood. Autometer makes a electric gauge setup but it is pretty expensive, about 190.00.

Absolutely! Back in the 70's had a mechanical oil pressure in my VW Rabbit. Tubing fatigued and cracked at the nut on the back of the gauge. Talk about a mess
