Fuel Pump

My current fuel system has a aeromotive A1000 fuel pump. Lately I have noticed it is getting louder and louder and I think it is going to die soon. I was wondering what everyone has found that is working really good as far as reliability. I do have my tank sumped and I am also running 5/8 line from the tank to the pump. I seem lately I have been hearing about a lot of the aeromotive pumps failing.

Re: Fuel Pump

a super duty pump is good to 350-400 hp and obviously has no problem with diesel fuel.

Re: Fuel Pump

A super duty pump may good for that but two pumps are good for more. Do you have a pre-pump filter? There is an Aeromotive pump meant for diesel/marine applications that is black.

I just put a SD pump on my OBS. Whatever setup it should have a pre-pump filter.

Re: Fuel Pump

I have been leaning towards running two superduty pumps. I do have a pre pump filter for the aeromotive pump. I am running a 100 micron prepump filter and a 5 micron filter after the pump. I was wondering if all of the superduty pump are the same. I just wish the superduty pumps would accept a fitting instead if having to use the rubber hose and hose clamps.
