Glow Plug Relay Bypass

I noticed there are ALOT of post regarding glow plug relays. I went through several $1xx relays and decided to find a better way to do this. I used a 150 Amp standard starter relay ($9.00) in conjunction with a GPR, dual pole switch, water temp sensor, and an indicator light. The GPR turns on the 150 A relay keeping all the current going through the 150 A relay, not the GPR. The water temp sensor keeps the glow plugs from coming on when the water temp is above 165 degrees and is the electric fan switch off a S-10 pickup. It screws into the side of the water pump were a plug is currently. The dual pole switch allows the glow plugs to operate through the water temp sensor or back to factory (every time the key is turned on). The indicator light tells you when the glow plugs are really on, not like the wait to start light on the dash. Know this seems complicated, but is really easy to wire up. Just be sure to use heavy welding wire or battery cables and good quality wire to do this with and you will have no more problems. I am going on 3 years without any problems

I went trough about 1 GPR a year even after replacing the wiring and glow plugs. I have to start and stop my tuck a lot, 20-30 times a day. With this setup the plugs don't turn on unless they are needed. Everything works like it is supposed to. Seems like it is smarter than buying a GPR evey year.
