Re: Got $1000 to spend what to get

i was thinking maybe a downpipe, an intercooler or propane. Can the propane setup be homemade? Is there a topic on it anywhere

A downpipe is a MUST especially if you are planning on injectors and the like later down the road...

Yeah, a downpipe and exhaust made a big difference for my truck, then I would take the money you have left over and buy lottery tickets, and if you win, you will have enough money for the racing part, it never ends, once your hooked Good Luck

Re: Got $1000 to spend what to get

id do the exhaust for sure, at least the dp. Put the evo in the for sale section and get a chip from beans, get the IC in then do some injectors when you run across some more $. If you run across some good deals or do DIY injectors you could maybe squeeze all that in for "around" $1000.

He has an economy setting that I went with. It has no smoke but gets better Fuel mileage than stock. Here is his link:

Re: Got $1000 to spend what to get

$1000.00 to spend?!?!? You could buy me a plane ticket to your place, I could sit in your garage, drink your beer and watch you work on a project with the remaining $400.00!
Actually, I'd agree with the downpipe / exhaust kit for starters. I found it to be a worthwhile project with great results. Problem is, I was so pleased, it made me spend some more on a few other mods. It is soooo addictive! Best of luck.
