How are you guys hooking up the electrical to the compressor? The way I have it now I blow a fuse every couple of months. I believe im overloading the current circuit. TIA Karl

Use a 30 amp relay and some 10 ga wire.

Run straight from the battery and use a circuit breaker sized to the current draw of the compressor.

I wanted it to be hot only with the ignition.

I dont remember, I'll have to take a look and see. Where are you tapped in now, if your source is only hot with the key on you can use that for a trigger for the relay.

Now im using the 30 amp fuse under the dash. I used in in a quick fix. The quick fix hs lasted a while now. I would like to do it right. Karl

Do you know how to wire in a bosch type relay? Use 10 ga wire between the compressor and the relay and between the battery and the relay and use your existing fuse tap under the dash to trigger the relay.

Thanks !! kinda off the subject and a stupid question,are you still using the fuel pressure gauge (in your pics) or did it blow off after the first mile or so [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img] ?

Take a look at this:

Instead of going to the fog lights your wire would go to the compressor

And you would not use the switch and light, as long as you use a circuit that is hot only when the key is on you can just run the trigger wire from the fuse block to the relay

You can get the relay at just about any parts store, a 30 amp automotive relay will work just fine.

Nah, that gauge died a long time ago, I put it on one day and by the time I went back and forth to work the next day it was DOA.

Here's the type of relay to use:

You can either get this type with the harness or just but the relay and crimp the connectors onto your wires.

I just used the crimp on connectors. You can see then here:
