I would like to get one for the rear window, also considering overhead in the cab, but I don't like the idea of the cheesy looking universal ones that seem to just snap in...or stick to the glass. Something more sturdy.
i just have the plastic one that goes in the rear window on mine. I can either carry 2 shotguns or just my assault rifle. I didnt think it would hold the Assault rifle that well, but it has never fallen or given me any trouble.

There is one just like that shelf but specifically intended for a rifle that includes a strap going around so you can secure the gun overhead. Called RifelIt - you probably can get it at Cabelas.
