H2E i like

we installed the hypermax H2E kit from dieselsite .which i must say very fast shipping was here in 3 days .i forgot my camera but i do have pic of the kit when i unpacked it and i will get pics of it in.i will post them when i have some time.

the H2E install didn't take that long.we start about 9:30 and had the truck running about 4.i do have a few short cuts for ya that may save you some trouble.put the driver side up pipe in before the y-pipe and plate.then put the down pipe in before the turbo.and get some new up-pipe bolts and do-nuts.
everything went well ontell we came to the ic pipe that came in the kit.it came up about 5in's to the right.but was abled to cut the pipe and use the botton pipe of the gts kit.the h2e kit only comes with the drive side ic pipe.
i cut the turbo out side off the intake spider to make it work.
went on the test drive the truck runs great.i'm running the scmt and it didn't seem to laggy.i can't wait tell my chip gets back.i have only drove it about 20 miles.the truck runs cooler, smoother, and it seems quiter.tell i harmed on it with the new staight pipe.what a nice sound.

terry

ps. whach that powersteiring hose when doing the ic pipe, got a mile up the road for the test drive the hose blew off .what a mess i have know.just got it cleaned from the tanny line that blew in the fan.

Re: H2E i like

Awesome man! Get that chip back on her and let me know how it runs. Not sure if I should go with the Garrett BB or the H2E. Not like I can afford either right now. But I really want to know how it does.

Re: H2E i like

Good deal! Send me some pics of it when you get a chance will ya? Especially of what you had to modify on my pipes. If you need a new bead rolled on there ship it to me and I'll get it on there. I guess the only problem is the down time from it getting here and back.

Yep...any boots can be a bear to put on!

Give us more details on the install, perhaps even a writeup on where you started...what you did first etc.! Look forward to hearing more.

Re: H2E i like

We installed a GTS kit yesterday and All Im gonna say is the Bottom boots were a pain in the A$$ and I didnt like how close the pipe is to the over flow on the coolent tank.
Seems like a Transiton boot on the bottom would be a MUCH better setup.

Re: H2E i like

I was wondering if you guys installed that without me. I would have liked to seen how it went. Those bottom boots are a pain on the Banks kit too. How long before there is a different turbo (H2E)under your hood RSP?

Re: H2E i like

It would be interesting to know how much more HP you gained, by just adding the turbo, with your current mods, compared to your last numbers. With the fuel burning more cleanly, it should be a nice jump, along with the cooler EGT's!

Re: H2E i like

the kit comes with all piping needed to install it.which is why i bought it over other turbo's.we start off by take the old stuff off
(down pipe, turbo,up pipes). then came the fun stuff.
you put the plate together 1 line fitting and the turbo bracket(ex-y pipe)then the plate gos on the truck.(but we had to take it off again to put the driverside up pipe in.)then the pass up-pipes go on.just snug the bolts.the turbo was next(but again we had to take it back off for the down-pipe )4 bolts very easy to get too .after the down pipe was on we tighten all the snug bolts down.the IC-pipe that came in the kit didn't fit.i was able to cut it and weld it to fit with the bottom pipe of gts kit.on the intake spider i had to cut the peice off that comes out of the turbo.the IC pipe was the only problem that we had.the instuction sheet that came with it is lam,but worker able.the hole job was supiseing easy and took about 7 hours.thats with freinds and alot of BS slinging(know what i mean)

i'm running my SCMT and it feels like it has alot more power than the stock turbo and 1.0 housing.but it feels like a dog with the tuner after driving it with a custom chip anyway.i can't wait for my chip to get back to see what it realy does.it is a hair laggy off the line with scmt over the 1.0 housing.but it will only build 26 pounds of boost.again the chip will take care of that.

i'm still working on pic's i got 3 up but it took me 1 hr to do that so they will come just slowly.might have to redo my web sight
i can do a turbo but can't get pic's on the web
the kit went right in and not hard at all.just get new bolts for the up pipes at the manufold and some new do-nuts sence your their.
if you are thinking about a turbo look at this kit or just get something else. either way you wont be sorry it does make a big diffence.

Re: H2E i like

wow, what a diffence between programs.i put the tow preformce tune from my SCMT in this morning it ran just like high preformance about 26 pounds of boost.tonight i put the safe tow in and i can hit 34 pounds of boost the truck runs alot better in tow safe.what up with that?
the h2e start to scream at about 15 pounds then the pitch just go's higher.it has the flutter sound(kinda remines me of a exhauts under water)with the straight pipe and its loud when hammering on it. has sound of its own thats for sure.
