head stud install ?

i'm going to be doing this in the truck, so is there any particular order i need to go in since i wont be removing the head? how much do i need to jack up the cab for this? and what do most of yall torque them to? sorry for all the ?'s thanks

Do one at a time, and torque them to 90lbs. Doesn't matter where you start. Loosen the cab bolts and jack up one side at a time(take one side all the way out). I jacked mine up a few inches(about the time the body touched the front bumper). I would suggest removing the front bumper. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

After one head is done, we tightened the studs to 120 in sequence(go to DI's website for that). Then go to 140 if you have H11's. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif[/img]

If you are using ARP studs, make sure you put the 8 shorter studs on the top row of the heads. They are only 5-6mm shorter than the rest so you'll have to look close. If you dont, the top base of you injectors will hit the studs.

thanks guys they are used so no instructions, do we need to put sealer on the bottom of them? the link i was given said alot of head studs go in to the water jacket
