HELP with EBPV upgrade!!!!!!

Gutted my ebpv, the plate and its shaft are removed. I tried to install the 20 mm freeze plug but it won't go in!!!! I tried tapping it in carefulley and that didn't work so I beat the you know what out of it and no luck. My truck is a 1995. Do some of them take different sizes?

Thanks,

Richard

Sometimes a 3/4 inch will work too.

Re: HELP with EBPV upgrade!!!!!!

Thanks for the help. I'll try a 19mm and if that does not work I try a 3/4 inch, and will post what worked.

Re: HELP with EBPV upgrade!!!!!!

I threaded the hole with a pipe tap and put in a 3/8NPT pipe plug as I recall...

Re: HELP with EBPV upgrade!!!!!!

I just had a buddy weld it up. I'm sure you could go to any exhaust shop or perf. shop and have it done. I couldn't imagine it costing more than $20.

thats what I did and in doing so I discovered there is a bushing in the bottom that has to come out. this might be what is causing it to not go in.
