help me ID this suspension

i bought a 96 F350 turbo diesel 4x4 crew cab long bed. It was lifted when i bought it. I put 33's on it- In my mind it rides like crap and doesnt tow well either. My old truck was a super duty dually. I bought a 5th wheel toy hauler that weights 12000lbs two weekends ago and immediatly bought helper bags since the rear was saggin so bad. Im wondering if the previous owner put softer springs in it. I searched and found all the super duty and reverse shackle mods but I dont even know what i have. Heres some shots- The only marking i could find on the leaf spring was on the rear shackle it says VZ









Its obviously got 4 inch lift blocks in the rear

Just a crap lift kit thats why it rides like it does..prime candidate for a RS kit SD spring mod!

Based on your third picture, there was some sort of modification done to the rear shackles. My initial guess was Velvet Ride but the shackles don't match what DZLJIM shows in his Velvet Ride Shackle Install article.

im looking for super duty springs and found a 01 f25o V10 getting parted out on craigslist. ANyone know what code springs they have?

so i found a set of sd springs online and the spring code says VA I know the fronts will work but what about the rear- Hes sending me some shots of them- he says they came out of a 2002 f250 diesel 4x4 and they do have the load compensator spring on the rear.


I know v is what im looking for but what about the rear?

For 2002,
A = 6,084 pounds @ground = F-250
B = 6,840 pounds @ground = F-350 SRW and some F-250s
C = 8,250 pounds @ground = F-350 DRW

A's are "B"'s without the top overload spring, you can add them..just need longer center pin spacer and spring..I have all but the center pins..easy to get.

CARY- so if the spring code was VA and it has over loads they are the same as B's right? Im about to pay more in shipping then i am for the spring so i want to double check- Thanks
