HELP! Need belt # for ambulance alternator-w-duel tensioner

Can anyone that has put the ambulance alternator on with a dual tensioner pulley give me the belt part # to use? I have the alternator in but the belt is to short. Truck is down until I can get a long enough belt.

Thanks in advance

Re: HELP! Need belt # for ambulance alternator-w-duel tensioner

Try getting in touch with some of the guys in THIS OLD THREAD for a part number. I just looked through it real quick and found where they all agree it has to be .5" longer than the JK8-1227 that's used with the dual pulley tensioner, but didnt see a new part number.

Re: HELP! Need belt # for ambulance alternator-w-duel tensioner

The last number in Motorcraft belts is the length in 1/8" increments. 1227 is 122-7/8" long. Soooo, if you are looking for a belt 0.5" longer. then the part number would be around JK-1234 in Motorcraft. However this is just a guide so it doesn't mean such a belt exists. Check Dayco, NAPA and other brands besides Motorcraft also.

That .5" longer was for the single tensioner and the part number for that is out there somewhere; I forget it off the top of my head.

I could've sworn I remember a post about this not more than a month ago but I tried searching and came up with nothing.

Cheers from Tulsa, OK!

Re: HELP! Need belt # for ambulance alternator-w-duel tensioner

Thanks guys.

I found the belt that works. It is a fairly new belt. It is for a 2003 Excursion with a 6.0. It is about 126" long and I don't recall the exact part 3 but can post it later if anyone really wants to know it.
