help please no power

noticed truck was smoking the other day more than usual every thing looks fine but when i steped on it in neutral it let out a huge cloud of grey smoke it did that twice then it cleared up. i took it for a ride it didnt smoke but it felt like it had no power now it only pushes 9#'s of boost. ran it on snap on scaner and nothing came up. checked the back pressure valve it is working fine the turbo seems to be in good shape. any sudgestions i appreciate the help

Re: help please no power

at first glance it seems like a boost leak.
can be in a few places: y pipe hoses, intake plenum(silicon) to the head, up pipe gaskets(doughnuts)

ill think more about it though too

Re: help please no power

Any chance you got some regular gas mixed into a tank...

I had that happened last weekend but it was a full tank.. when I switched over the truck just plain died.... but a mix might account for it .. check the fuel filter and see if you smell regular gas...
