holset turbo

how big is a holset ht60. is it big enough for stage 1's or 2's. just wondering found some pretty cheap. what would it take to put one on these trucks. thanks

It's really big. Way bigger then an H2E. Unless you could find a really small exhaust housing for it, it will be way to laggy for your setup.

Did a quick Google on it. Seems it's used on the Cummins N14 (855 CID) and probably used on some tractor pulling applications (500+ CID and insane RPM's). Might make a nice turbo jet thing though.

Thats something like what would be used in a twin setup on a 5.9 cummins. Run the stock turbo on top, and that on the bottom. The HT3B is the most common though, and can be bought for $650 brand new.

put it on in series it will spool up quick enough and have major boost, would love more fuel then.

1994.5 superduty custom ext. cab(via a rear section of a 91 cab) 19' jerrdan rollback wrecker 7.3di 5spd. 5:38 ratio: ford aic, dieselzite air intake, cons performance 3.0 inch downpipe, modded ebpv, bypassed bpv, fpr "bb" mod, 10k&18k switchable mod, dumped the dual mass flywheel setup for a south bend single mass con(o)kit, with a flywheel from a prior luk conversion. everytime something is changed the power comes alive. oh yeah and a blue cps from a international 466 engine got tired of being let down by the stockers.(this one never fails) to be done: idm 140volt mod, AC code injectors, guages, twin sequential turbos.
