Re: how to install a boost guaGE

Get a "T" fitting and splice into the MAP sensor line. It is on the passenger side of the truck and comes from the manifold and into the senor located on the fire wall. It is easy to reach and looks like a 1/4" fuel line. As for the the electrical hook up, I wired mine into the running light switch. That way you can get the dimmer like on the interior lights. It's pretty easy to do, so have fun.

Re: how to install a boost guaGE

That'd be the line. My Diprocol kit from DPPI (a sponsor here) came with the fittings. I cut a slit in the rubber grommet around my steering column to run the line through. Depending on where you mount it (min'es by the ash tray) you might need more of the 1/8" nylon line available at the parts store.

Re: how to install a boost guaGE

If you go Here, scroll down half way or so and its a "T" for $10, thats what I got, worked slick. Its the hose that comes off of the firewall towards the passenger side right next to that big plug, its like half inch hose, cant miss it, just plum in the "T" and what I did instead of the nylon hose went with 10ft or so of copper tubing the same size for Dale Isley, this way I know that it wont get pinched and just run it to your gauge, its more of a ***** winding it around to where you want things but I like it better.

In case you dont understand a word I just said (which is highly understandable) check out This site, tells you which fuses to plum into with fuse taps for either key on power for the gauges and have them come on with your regular lights. If you dont want either of these could allways put them on their own switch.

Re: how to install a boost guaGE

Its up to you if you want to junk the nylon or not, I did just because I didnt want to worry about it.

Those numbers sound about right.
