You won't feel much if any. Some claim better throttle response.
Regulator is the 19 mm brass bolt, on the right side of your fuel filter housing. Unscrew the bolt, pull out the spring, pull out the housing with a magnet, put the bb inside the housing were the spring goes, put the spring in housing, put the spring/housing back in together and put the bolt back in, just make sure the little nipple on the bolt goes in the center of the spring and tighten it up.
I've read a few posts about putting bb's and other
foreign objects into the FPR. I never cared for
the idea with as much as these engines cost. I just
bought a CA CPR. It was only around $35. A lot on
this board have done the shim mod with apparently
good results. The idea doesn't set well with me and
my own truck. I'm glad that it's worked for others
though.

I noticed that I typed it both ways, FPR & CPR. It's
supposed to be FPR. CA FPR is a California Fuel Pressure
Regulator. It sets a higher fuel pressure than the 49 state
model. To me, it's a cleaner solution and one I'm more
comtortable with. As previously stated, many report good
results with the shim method.

I kinda thought that is what you were saying. What kind of pressure is the CA model putting out? I like the BB mod but to each his own. This is a free america BTW.

I read my posts again and don't think I said anything to
warrant that comment in a negative way. If the CA FPR was an
expensive item I would go the BB route also. But, for the low
cost I decided to try the CA FPR. I have no idea what the
fuel pressure output is. Some of the posts stated it was about
what they get from a BB mod. Whatever that is. ???
