That is one of the reasons for a CEL, but if you are running stock injectors, I would think there is a better chance you have an injector or two that is using too much oil..
On edit, I see you have a 10K mod. If you have that removed, do you still set a CEL? I used to be fine with the stock stuff, but the moment I ran the 10K -or- chip in anything other than stock setting, I would set a CEL pretty much at will. Even worse with the new injectors.

Well, looks like you have a CA 97. If so, you have splits. You need at the least an SD pump(17*). Why not just go all the way to Big Oil!

That is the reason for the question 10k switched on I get no cel but around 2500 rpm it quits making more power, just flattens out switched off it will pull to redline. It is the same on all settings of the edge programmer.I believe the 10k mod is working due to rougher idle and a slight power increase. It wont set a cel i've kept my foot in it for a while. So my question is if it was a weak hpop not able to hold enough psi would it set a cel?
Mine does this too, with stock injectors and a stock hpop I think it is probably about impossible to use more oil than the hpop can supply. Our injectors just aren't big enough.
I think what is more likely is with the icp already sensing that the ipr needs to kick it up a notch on wot I think the 10k changes the numbers and the pcm just doesn't know what to do with it.
The 10k tells the pcm it needs more hpop oil and so does the icp at wot I think they just add up to numbers certain pcm codes don't like.

Same exact symptoms as mine. Swap in a new '02 HPOP (and incidentally new injectors at the same time) and presto.. no CEL.
I really feel that my injectors were fine, just a bit tired, and that my problem was my HPOP.
sorry for no firm facts, but just my .02

Sorry to hear it's not a CA model, thats too bad .
You need to throw a gauge on it or scan tool and read your pressure at WOT.
[/ QUOTE ]Thats what I was thinking. Does anyone in the seattle area have a way to test psi at WOT? I would appreciate the help. :
