I can't seem to figure out how to search the archives.
So does anyone have the info on how and what parts I need to do the HX mod?

TIA

Re: HX mod how to??

Easiest and quickest way is to call Dale at Tymar. He makes the kit for this. I just did mine a couple weeks ago, very quick and easy. Made quite a difference too!!!!!!!

Re: HX mod how to??

I would call Dale at Tymar. Dale's kit is reasonable and very good instructions. Dale also uses different hose than most others and has not had many hose failures.

Re: HX mod how to??

The stainless steel tubing one from KCM is supposed to be coming out soon too. There is some information on it in SD forums. Said to be mandrel bent stainless steel tube. May not be what you are looking for but another option to consider.

Re: HX mod how to??

What kind of "differences" does this mod do?? Doesn't it just equilize the high pressure oil rails?
Haven't read much about this mod, but would like to know more.

Thanks
Steve

Re: HX mod how to??

This used to be a pretty hot topic back in the archives, its kind of hit & miss as it works well on some trucks & some note no difference.

Now the kicker is its not really a hp mod per say - it just makes the truck run/feel a lil smoother - In my case it really helped a lot as the 94 & 95 engines were a bit loud anyways

If you read through that article in the SD forum about the stainless steel one there is some very good information and some links worth taking a look at. The archives will have a ton of infomation on this right down to where the idea was first being discussed.
