I wanna see your front end protection (custom bumpers/grill guards/bull bars etc)
Just curious what styles are out there?
I sometimes get concerned that a wayward deer may ruin one of my trips by taking out my radiator etc. So basically I'm interested in seeing what you guys have for protecting the front of the rig. Bull bars, winch bumpers, grill guards etc. If you got something then feel free to share a pic of it. thanks in advance.

Re: I wanna see your front end protection (custom bumpers/grill guards/bull bars etc)
I wanted to fab up my own, and I did. I made as someone on here named it "the moose catcher". Its entirely overbuilt (thats just what I do ).
Bumper 1
Bumper 2
Bumper Construction
My back bumper is in the works (even mounted!) just needs some paint, and the license plate added.
It was a blast to make. If you have any other questions about making one, I can tell ya alot of what Id do differently next time. Feel Free to ask.
Best of Luck,
-Stouff

I don't know if he has posted a picture, but Jerry Miller has a nice custom setup on the front of his truck.

Thanks Matt. No pictures yet. I need to get off my butt and load some up soon. I also need to get off my butt and build a matching rear bumper. I wonder how far I can exceed my GVWR in accessories!

Stouff,
That's a nice looking bumper. That is also the best color for these trucks too......not that my opinion is biased or anything!!

Nice looking trucks (especially the "rollin coal" pic
Thats probably the general style of bumper I'll either end up buying or making. Does it block any airflow? Any difference in EGTs?

Sorry to tell ya but they don't make those anymore...I tried over a year ago. the one they make now is the one in bare steel. Problem with that one is the bumper covers the lower body unlike the ones you posted. Get into a wreak and ya get body dammage...dumb I asked them why the responce was to the effect...want all the fords to look like the Sd ones
Maybe they rethought this FYI

Cary,
They still make them, believe me, friend of mine is a direct dealer!
Yea, I believe you are right about they are up a little higher, but you can tell them to bring it down some.
http://www.northtexaspowerstrokes.co....php?pos=-7191
That is what it looks like now, but you can get in Bare Metal or Black Power, whatever ya like, then ya pick the Bars ya want on it, like the Titan I or Tital II, I was thinking about getting the Pre Runner
Looks kinda like this.
http://www.northtexaspowerstrokes.co....php?pos=-7198
They aren't that expensive, compared to something like them.

I really like these:
http://www.buckstop.biz/Images/ford/...ue_front_l.jpg
The road armors are nice and made right next to where I work, but I like the smoother look of the buckstops. IMHO they look nicer on the OBS trucks.
