Ideas on big fuel

Hi everybody. I am asking questions again, so please dont get upset.
I am going to go with Headstuds and an H2E Quickspool from Wide Open and big oil and some kind of fuel pump. I have a built tranny and Precision triple-lock converter, so I can harness the power

How big of injectors should I go? I want this to be something I can drive and if need be every day. I am going to have custom tunes for it as far as levels on the chip. Are 230's to big? You all know how it is I want Bad A$$. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Jerod

Re: Ideas on big fuel

You sound like you are all setup for a set of stage 3's.

with the big oil, you dont need hybrids, so I would say yep, 230 is just fine. Why not 250's?

Give Bean or Swamps a call and have a 'come to Jesus' session. Either one will be glad to design a setup that will meet your needs. Cant go wrong with either!

Honestly tho.. this setup is a bit out of my league, so I am sure some of the big boys will voice thoughts on this..

Good luck!

Re: Ideas on big fuel

Tubzz is running stage 3 injectors with a Stealth dual oil pump. He runs this truck everyday probably close to 100 miles a day. It is really fast and is still capable of about 18 MPG.

Re: Ideas on big fuel

Some BD code injectors w/ some 7 hole .007 nozzels would be pretty close to perfect for that set up and prolly get ya 550+ RWHP or close to it and be a hell of a daily driver. Bean at BDP could prolly get ya set up right.

Re: Ideas on big fuel

you will not be disapointed with that set up.it will be very fast. like cris said i drive mine everyday 45 miles one way to work.my stage3's are AA codes 230cc injectors by BDP.i have got 18.7mpg out of it but i average 14-16 mpg. depending on my foot.i'm really happy with it.the wife wants the same set up in her truck.
though you will fined out tuning this set up is a pain.still working on that.there is not to much out their for big oil and OBS trucks yet.
at least i haven't found it yet.
good luck with it.

Re: Ideas on big fuel

No offence guys, but i don't believe people are realizing what is possible if you combine a set of 7.1 or even better a set of 8.5 ratio injectors with the "BIG OIL".

Believe me, if the funding was there for me to do it right now it would be done. The wheels are in motion now, just turning slow.

Re: Ideas on big fuel

Reverse hybrids will fail on their own for various reasons. And our injectors are not capable of any real injection pressure simply by running up the ICP and using a high hydraulic ratio due to internal problems that limit the maximum injection pressure. Reverse hybrids are not feasable. Besides, if the injector could produce the pressure, what makes you think the nozzle would hold it?

their isn't much out their for big everything on a OBS truck.but its coming.when i say tunning the set up i mean getting all the mods to work together.sure we ran a 13.5 and the truck is faster than that now with the last programming tweaking.
with out going into detale the truck still has a few things that need to be work out on it to make it idle, shift, and run smooth.
programming is just part of tuning the truck.if other mods are not big anough or not working like they should you will never fine that sweat spot.which i haven't found yet.but i have 2 of the best dragon hunter (TWILDMAN and BEAN) helping me chase down this dragon.

Yes, please.

I'm sure the builder of one set i know of the person doing the flow testing on them would also be interested.
