went out this morning to head for the coffee shop weather 5 degrees and wind about 20mph normal for kansas
1997 F 350 4x4 auto block heater plugged in all night
would not start, heard buzzing under the hood it is relay number 3 which power the modded imd all maxi fuses are good, so now it is you guys to start guessing, or you know what is going on here????

First thing I would check for is a bad battery. Disconnect both of them and check the voltage of each of them independently. If one is bad, replace both. Cheers!
Could be a lot of things. Resistor came off in idm, bad cam sensor, have you had the recal done on that? Did you try swaping the "buzzing" relay. I have never not had my truck start even when I forgot to plug in or even when I had a cam sensor going bad. Is your tac registering? That is sure sign of bad cam sensor. HPOP resevoir full of oil? Bad fuel and it gelled? Hopefully nothing serious.

You could try pulling your chip I had an Edge go bad and truck would not start but everything else was nomal.

switch relays as drwoodchopper, thanks, suggested and fired right off thanks everyone for the help that is what this forum is for
relays usually chatter because of low voltage don't have a wiring diagram so i don't know what energize it
thinking about a new chip looks like i will get twildman to think up a new burn
i don't know if many manufactures read these forum but they seem to be passing buy the old body stile trucks i don't know about the rest of the country but where still kichin butt here, are trucks are not fancy to look at but they run
