Re: inercooler pipes

The Early 99 y-pipe will fit the obs turbo, you need the wider flanged turbo to y-pipe clamp. The drivers side stock 7.3 pipe can be made to work by cutting it close where it passes by the a/c compressor and adding a boot or welding in a new piece of pipe. The passengers side will not work without extensive re working by adding some additional bends. Check out these series of pics... here... and ..... here... to give you an idea of the procedure....

Re: inercooler pipes

Jimbo, the only two boots in the pics that are not factory is the blue one on the cac tube near the a/c compressor, Turbohose.com. and the 4" orange on the intake kit from airflo.com. If you need it, I'll get you part #'s on the stockers......

Re: inercooler pipes

so will a 3" intake spyder work on our trucks if you upgrade to 3" intakes? I've got a line on a spyder and intakes for cheap...does it mount to the turbo the same? Thanks.

Re: inercooler pipes

Ryan, the 3" spyder does not fit our turbo. You would need to use a SD style turbo, build a wastegate actuator, modify the firewall, change the pedistal, and fabricate a custom downpipe. Also you will need the SD exhaust collector, up-pipes, possibly the drivers exhaust manifold as well. Also you will have to eliminate your stock fuel filter housing/fuel pressure regulator. The rest would be easy.

Re: inercooler pipes

I wonder if you got that new spyder, if you cut off the part that hooks to the turbo and at least use the Y for the intake from the 'cooler. Then, just come up with an elbow from the turbo to the 'cooler.
Cheap is cheap, make it work...
