Injector questions

Ive been looking through the forum and have found many posts talking about problems with stage 1 injectors? But not wat the actual problem is. I was wondering what it is and what you can do to fix it? Also, what are the best ones to run with say a 4in exhaust, an intake, and an intercooler?

Re: Injector questions

I don't recall a LOT of people having problems with the stage 1's, I know of one forum member that recently had trouble with his, but I think it was an isolated incident . I know most of us who got Beans stage1's haven't had any problems at all with them...............Dave

Re: Injector questions

Partner, you are going to have to link the threads that are showing the problems with the stage 1's, there are a BUNCH of us that are absolutely thrilled with the performance gains we have achieved with these economy priced MASSIVE horsepower gainers! Not only that,we are also thrilled to have the backup information source of Ryan Bean and cass (the stout one) in the real world of retail you buy it, it don't work, its yours...with BDS they go to end of the world to help you with problems that you may already have and the new injectors are making those problems show up...Of all the money I have spent for upgrades, the money spent on the stage 1's was my best money spent....nuff said, I'm off my soap box....

Re: Injector questions

NO problems here !!! Unless your the E4OD behind them . I'm very pleased with the performance of my stage I's. Actually the only trouble I had was getting it fired back up. Make sure you have a good set of batteries, AND a set of jumper cables when they start getting low. The job itself was actually quite easy. The usual story, the hardest part of the job was screwing up the courage to start taking it apart. If you have any questions in that department, you'll find all the answers you need here.

Re: Injector questions

Both sets of BDP injectors ive had good luck with. Stage 1's i had for 6k miles and upgraded to stage 2's, i already have 4.5k miles on them . I did have a bad idle with stage 2's, did a cct and found 3 injectors not funtioning right, Bean sent 3 more and took care of it asap.

The only mechanical problem ive had was poor hpo bc of a weak pump. I replaced it with a pump from a 2002 and it will hold 2500 psi with the stage 2s.

Re: Injector questions

Luke, first time I have seen your numbers of HP/tq...maybe I wasn't paying attention.... "WOW" your are making some serious power, how is the daily drivability? I am very happy with the 160's, but with the boost I'm making with what I have, I'm concerned with the stock turbo not living....I think I'm experiencing turbo "flutter", which according to the SD guys, is a serious problem, I want to step up to a better hpop to give the stage 1's every thing they need, but I'm afraid the turbo can't handle it...any incite?
