I'm wondering if there would be any benefits from trying to make the intake flow better from the turbo to the heads, like shorter spool up time or more boost. I mean, the Y with the 90 degree turn and the flat boxes at the heads don't seem all that flow-friendly.
I haven't seen anything from the aftermarket suppliers, although there is a lot of various free-flow mods like the Tymar type intake for pre-turbo part.
I suppose if it was vital more people would be doing it, or are they and i'm just missing it?
I know that intake design is less critical with turbo engines than NA's, but it still matters, otherwise the pre-turbo intake would not be getting so much attention, and air still needs to flow, pressurized or not. Any thoughts on this?

Plans: some gauges, Tymar-type intake, mild chip
There are some improvements available such as billet intakes(Beans I know sells them others are probably available from other vendors). How much do they help??? I havent found any data on just how much the improve flow. The y-pipe, only improvement I know of besides building your own is to add an intercooler.

I just put the 3" billett intakes on along with the Hypermax 3" ypipe that matches up for my hypermax intercooler. I also installed a twin electric superduty fuel pump system at the same time. I can now pull hard no fall off all the way to the redline of motor. But I think the majority of that came from the fuel system. I am sure I gained better airflow, They look great and impressive on the motor, but if money is a factor I would spend it somewhere else, I think you can get alot more bang for your buck on other things
