intercooler

I was wondering if any one knew if a 99-03 intercooler would fit on a 97 f250 pad?

Pad? what do you mean pad? I put an intercooler out of a 2001 superduty in my 97. I used 1 inch square tube steel and angle iron for the lower mounts and just some 12 gauge flat steel with rubber grommets for the upper mounts. you have to do a lot of cutting to the radiator support

Absolutely. Im running a '99 ic right now with Banks pipes, fits inside the frame nicely. Picked it up at a wrecking yard for 100 bucks with a guarantee of no leaks.

Is there a post on doing the swap? Or do you just use stock newer model pipes and a intercooler and it will fit with the brackets you described?

6.0 intercooler install pics pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots

details how to put a 6.0 intercooler into an OBS truck
with the banks intercooler pipe kit....

pics only, sorry...

keep in mind, I cut my pipes shorter as I raised the intercooler considerably higher due to the RSK cross tube

if you do a search, there are MANY threads/posts on doing this...
