For now, I have pretty much a stock truck when it comes to making big power. Stock injectors and HPOP. I am installing a CPRx fuel system that Bob at Dieselsite is building special for me. I plan to go with an upgraded H2E turbo when I can afford it, as well as the biggest injectors I can find. In the future this thing is gnna make some major power. Thats why I dont wanna be caught with my pants down when it comes to the IC I install.
I don't wanna have to install two intercoolers because the first one couldn't handle the boost. So are yall thinking Spearco or Diesel Innovations for this application?

I have the truck listed below, and have just resumed heavy pulling with it after laying off for a couple of years. When I stopped, I knew I needed an intercooler.
People have lots of opinions on Banks stuff, but most seem to think the Banks Intercooler is a good product. I know a couple of guys who have them on OBS trucks, and they have no complaints, even running hot chips, etc.
I just called Banks, they are having a sale this weekend, the I/c for my truck was $1404 or thereabouts.
I just ordered it. There are lots of good other ones I am sure, and I am not a Banks zombie by any means.
But, IMHO this was a good price for a good product.

Score one for Banks. Anyone out ther using a Spearco retrofitted for an OBS? Or the Diesel Innovations, or Hypermax?

I've used those kits. When you install it you will realize that you made a good choice.

I used a new 7.3 cooler($200 on craigslist) in combination with the banks piping kit($300) I didn't get the reduction in EGT's I had expected. Never got hot to begin with and I don't tow more than a couple of jet skis. Of course I did the turbo at the same time... Anyone notice a 1 mpg decrease after intercooler install?

Has anyone used the spearco IC and how does it fit and how does the piping fit? I have 200cc hybrids and egt's are ridiculous and boost up around 45psi

I'm sure it's been answered already, but how much boost will stock head gaskets and stock engines handle? Thanks, Eric.
