intercooler install

1997 f-350 4x4. I am wanting to install a I/C into this truck what I/C should i try to find? Is there someone that makes the Plumbing to make it all work or do you have to fabricate it yourself? Thanks for your help in advance .

If you can mig weld just get some SD IC pipes and cut em up ! Cheepest way to go and not very hard to do.

have to use a cooler from a 7.3, 6.o? or are they the same?

I have a tapercore, get a 6.0 if you can, if not a 7.3 will work fine.

I have a 7.3 I/C installed in my '95. I bought my intercooler off Ebay, and had Geoff at GTSmotorsports install it for me.
He has a "kit" which makes the job much easier, so you could contact him if you'd like.
You can see his kit on his website GTS Motorsports where you then click on "Ford Peformance" and then "Intercoolers" on the next page. You can see what is available with his kit on the "Intercooler" page.

Yes GTS kit fits great worth the $ you can save a bit if you get the eary 99 y pipe.

or call banks they will sell you a kit with out the IC cheaper than gts will and it's better made
