Intercooler opinions?

i just put a chip in my truck and dont like driving by the pyro so an inter cooler is the next upgrade probably soon, So i have questions. is their tubing kits that include the y pipe if so where? I want something where i dont have to make the tubes or anything i can fab up the rest. Also what is the best intercooler to use? Is the 6.0 one best for the money? I am not looking to fork otu an arm and a leg but i have a feeling its gonna cost a pretty penny. I tired search but bbeing able to search everyonce and a while is useless too me. So any help on the subject would be appreciated.

Re: Intercooler opinions?

You can look at getting a GTS or ATS kit. I've been told that the stock SD pipes will fit without modification. I'm going to see if i can prove that true or false pretty soon.

Re: Intercooler opinions?

Good luck getting a reply from GTS Motorsports. I have e-mailed them 4 or 5 times in the last 3 months with questions about the kit, and availability and have received exactly ZERO replys. I have given up on him, and am looking at other kits - more money, but available.
Enjoy!
Doug

They dont fit stock.

You have to modify them to get them to fit right.

(Im working on mine now)

Oh, and to your questions about which intercooler to get... Either the 7.3L or 6.0 would be fine (I got the 7.3L). They sell them on Ebay all the time.

Best of Luck,

Re: Intercooler opinions?

I heard that the stock SD would fit if you mount the pipes than the IC. Or did you mount the IC first before the pipes?
