Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

I though of getting an Isspro TTM but IMO you don't NEED it. Save your money for fuel. Mount your pyro pre turbo and wait for it to cool to 300*F before shutting it off. Even when I'm on the interstate and pull off at a rest stop, it cools down really quick.

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

I would get one of the remote starters instead as they have a timer too. Just set the timer for 1,2,3,4,or 5 minutes for shut down. I have never had to idle down for more than 3 minutes. They are only like 60 bucks and easy to install and then you have remote start too.

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

He is one of them there fireman and doesn't have time to wait for it to cool down.

I prefer going by the temperature rather than a specified time. If it only needs 30 seconds fine if not it will idle 5 minutes or whatever it needs.

TCH777, to operate yours do you have to do anything before turning the key off?

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

Yeah I have to hit a button on the remote before I turn the key off and exit the vehicle.

I have an older Crimestopper model. It is on my wife's suburban right now and the one for my truck is on the shelf waiting for other projects to get done first.

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

The ttm and the autometer gauge can use the same thermocouple, they all use type K t/c's, yellow and red wires. My ttm and isspro gauge run off the same t/c. I would install it if I were you because sometimes mine will run for several minutes after I turn off the key, and I don't want to sit there waiting for it to cool down. Also when you install it wire up a switch to short the t/c leads together, just incase you want to shut it down before the temps get there, such as when a officer is asking you to turn your vehicle off.

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

ok, so i can run them both off of the same thermo. is it alright to run the ttm off of a manifold mounted thermo? it says on their website they dont recommend it. as soaggydog said i have to drive it real hard then park it sometimes so i dont want to have to worry. so is it cool to run one off of the exhaust manifold pyro even though the website says not to?

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

Mine t/c is in the up-pipe just after the manifold, been there for two years with no problems. I believe pre turbo is better for the ttm for the same reason that the egt gauge is, you want to know what temps your tubo is being exposed to before the pressure drop across the turbo cools the exhaust.

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

whats the best connections to use to split it? will the pyro signal be enough to support the guage and ttm? what kinda connectors are the best?

Re: ISSPRO TTM Question

At the ttm screws I hooked the t/c wires, the gauge t/c wires and the shutdown switch wires under the + and - lugs. Yes the t/c will drive both instruments, they are just measuring the voltage not drawing on it.
