Just installed MBRP Exhaust.

After all the searching here on DS I desided on installing the 3" DP and 4" aluminized exhaust. What a difference it made. It was a fairly easy install, took me (by myself)about 5 hrs in the 90+ heat. Hardest part was cutting the old DP "cobrahead" off with out collateral damage. I used an old scissor jack from a Civic to make the room needed for the new DP. That worked great took all of 5 minutes. I have a good 1/2" clearance. followed the directions and it all fell into place. I used the sawzall for the cutting and I cut off the flared tips off the old exhaust hangers so they came apart easier. I didn't bother taking the old clamps off just cut the old pipe. I bought the kit w/tip from JC Whitney $365 with free shipping and 20percent off couldn't pass it up. I will be installing my CAI and guage pod when I get back home. Searching this site for advice and the "how to's" really paid off. I do recommend 2 people, would have saved time and a few less skinned up knuckles. Thanks

Re: Just installed MBRP Exhaust.

Good info. I just had my MBRP kit delivered on Friday. I wish "install new exhaust" was on my honey do list! Going to tackle it this Saturday. Hope mine goes as well as yours did.
