im thinking very seriously about removing my lift, wheels/tires on my 97 psd and putting the factory springs, tires, wheels, etc back on it. There is no reason other than it gets tiring (sp?) getting in/out of it with 3 buldging discs in lower back and two in my neck from racing MX (motocross).
If YOU had a 6" lift and didnt pull trailers, would you install it or keep it factory?

I'm a conservative, I'm never in favor of a lifted truck, it beats up lots of components faster and kills mileage and performance trying to move the huge heavy tires and wheels... but that's MHO, and everyone has one!
If you've hurt your back that bad racing MX, how are you going to swap all those parts and not hurt it worse!? Take care of yourself man!

aren't you selling that truck? I'd personally leave the lift. I wish i could put a lift on mine, but i'm constantly needing to lift things into the bed and pull trailers, so a lift is out of the question for me.

Chase, if you already have the back problems at such a young age, I would suggest taking it easy and replacing the lift with the factory setup. The truck may not look as good, but as some of the people have said, a lot less wear and tear on componts and possibly your body from a little smoother ride. Believe me, when you reach a stage in your life, definitely older, the back problems will just get worse. Take it from someone who has been there! I would love to lift my truck, but I pull trailers and a 5th wheel, so a major lift is out of the question. I also use to run 315's on the truck, but it was a lot harder to steer, gas mileage got worse and when I blew a tire towing my 5th wheel, it did over $2000 in damage to the truck. Take care of your back, get rid of the lift and enjoy the truck for many years to come. Lifted or not, they are still the best looking trucks on the road!

yes i am trying to sell.. but if it doesnt sell in about 2 weeks, im going to remove my 4 months old lift, go with some 285's (still on the factory wheels) and stack it with 5"
