Keeping the Truck ready to drop $$$ on her

Well after a long try to sell my PSD I finally just decided to keep her (again). With the miles on her I just cen't get any real money out of it, and anything else I buy is just bound to have problems.

So I've decided the money I was going to spend on a new truck had better just go to my current. Im looking for suggestions and mods to do to her now.

First I will get a new exhaust, the straight 4" was just a pieced together mess when I was in school, now I'd like something exiting behind the rear wheel with a downpipe. I'm thinking either an AFE or the MOTO Blue. Has anyone used either?

I also just found a leak in the FPR, Its the large nut on the drivers side looks about 22mm not the 19mm one that you put the BB in, but the other large one just behind with the single wire attached to it. What is it and can it be replaced or fixed?
The whole fuel system on my truck is weak, only about 40 PSI at idle so the fuel pump will be eventually replaced.

I already did the tymar filter with the NAPA 6011 filter so Im okay there but I would like to rebuild the turbo with a .84 housing. I've got the EBV wired open and the solenoid disconnected but I am starting to get the oil leaks around the pedistle and the solenoid. While Im rebuilding the turbo I'd like to also replace the O rings and gut the EBPV. Maybe also replace the Donoughts on the up pipes because I have leaks.

New shocks are needed for my comfort and I think Bilsteins are the way to go.

After the 320,000 miles on my truck I think I will need to replace the clutch soon, especially if I start getting into performance mods. Whats the best way to go it seems everyone leans toward south bend. How hard is the job on a 2wd? I've done clutches in smaller cars but not in a diesel.

Lastly Im thinking about all the other stuff to keep my truck reliable, O rings how often? UVC gaskets and harness when do they go? Glow plugs and relay when?

Sorry for the long post but I need all the help on this project I can get Thanks,

Get your ex from dale @ tymar or Bean.I would dump the stock fuel system and get a elect from Bean ....might think about some 2's and a D66 since you want to mod it a little.
If your going to replace your o rings do all the GP and elect connectors, VC etc at the same time.

Suprised that its all orginal!

Re: Keeping the Truck ready to drop $$$ on her

Is the BDP system the best way to go? I already have a Racor R-90 filter and it seems a lot of the cost of that BDP system is the fuel filter/water separator. Maybe he would sell one without the filter?

Does Dale sell a exhaust that is like the AFE 299.00 or Motoblue 250.00? If he does, that is where i'll get it.

I really need to figure out the fuel system fast, the leak off that sensor on the fpr was really going today. The BDP eliminates the stock bowl and fpr right? Anyone know what the sensor is, its that large nut with a wire on it just behind the one you shim?

Re: Keeping the Truck ready to drop $$$ on her

give bean a call he'd probably work somethin out with ya. very helpful guy. yes the stock fuel bowl and regulator are eliminated with his kit, as well as the fuel pump and fuel lines. make the motor look alot better in my opinion. i would recommend doing the exhaust at the same time you do the fuel system because there is a fuel fitting that is right near the downpipe that must be removed. i did mine with the downpipe still installed but it took a long time, even with my girlish hands . if you need to remove the turbo for any reason now would be the time to do it as well. i just snapped a few pics of the fuel system which you can see in my sig
